Artist's Comments

This is from the end of my second year at the Joe Kubert School. The instructor was Andy Kubert.
The assignment was to make up a cover and a 1 page story, but the cover had to clearly convay
what the story was about (something a lot of comics today don't do).
The character is Hilda.

Very nice. I wanted to go there as a kid, but the cost was way too much for me.

The perspective on the crates is bugging me a little, though.

It's better that you don't go. It wasn't all what I thought it was going to be. Definately not worth the cost based on the facillities alone. I had a great class though and met a lot of awesome people. So that made it not a total waste.

You see children know such a lot now, they soon don't believe in fairies, and every time a child says, 'I don't believe in fairies,' there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead.

I love her grin. Hilda is one of my fav OLs characters
I'm glad to see some artwork of her
on DA! :+fav:

She was hand's down the best character from the manga, and it's interesting to see how much people still love this one when I did it in 2002.

I think it's my most faved.
